Niranjan Kunwar is an educationist whose career includes teaching in primary schools and mentoring
teachers in Nepal. His memoir, Between Queens and the Cities, was published by FinePrint in 2020.

English
translation of Seto Dharti, titled A White Life, was launched by FinePrint in December, 2025. In
January
2026, he joined The Open Institute for Social Research as an Associate Faculty member.
Niranjan Kunwar is a graduate of Budhanilkantha school in Kathmandu and Bennington College in Vermont.
He
received an M.S.Ed from City University of New York in 2008 with a specialization in Childhood
Education.
After working as an associate teacher in Manhattan’s private schools, he was hired by the New York City
Department of Education from 2008 until 2012.
